Concieved as a small greenhouse immersed in the landscape of Parco Sempione and shadowed by a scenographic canopy, the new restaurant on the rooftop of the Palazzo dell’Arte of Triennale Milano by Giovanni Muzio offers a unique view towards the city skyline.
As the guest reaches the terrace through the panoramic elevator, the aromatic essence’s flavour of the vegetable garden welcomes the visitor. The garden embraces the whole glass pavilion (32 x 4 meters), which is supported by a light temporary metal structure designed to follow the rhythm of the historical palace’s arcades below.
Protected by the removable canopy, the glass pavilion works as a bioclimatic greenhouse, becoming itself a temperature-controlled disposal adjusting to the seasons, the hours of the day, allowing its guests to have lunch in the shade or dinner under the stars.
The greenhouse takes enough distance from the existing perimeter of the terrace in order to let only the suspended canopy being visible from the park.
