Type
The house settles on the land according to the orientation of the sun. The scale of the building is similar to the surrounding buildings to implant a relation with the nature of the place.Three courtyards take advantage of the orientation of the sun for the internal organization by exposing many areas south/east. These courtyards also provide well ventilated areas while garantee good thermal conditions for overcoming extreme weather in summer and make use of solar passive energy during the cold months in winter. Bay windows in the rooms are protect against excessive light and heat in the summer and allows a generous intake of light in winter days even when the trajectory is lower.Solar panels, colectors of rain water, separation of clean, gray and dark waters, reinforced insulation of building and cross ventilation are among the strategies for efficient energy consumption. High tech mecanisms and tradicional solutions of local dewllings are combined in sustainable design aiming to generate low carbon emissions.
