TEN is a private residence set within a forest landscape. Designed from the shell stage, the project became an opportunity to create a unified spatial system where architecture, interior and garden merge seamlessly. The concept is based on permeability, visual depth and continuity between inside and outside. Through precise geometry, symmetry and carefully composed perspectives, the space feels wider than its physical boundaries. Natural materials such as marble, wood and glass enhance the clarity of volumes and allow light to reveal the architecture. The result is a calm, balanced environment that supports both contemplation and everyday living.
The project rethinks the relationship between interior, architecture and landscape by treating them as a single spatial system rather than separate layers. The key challenge was to create a house that feels open and expansive despite its defined physical boundaries.
This was addressed through a strategy of spatial permeability and layered composition. Instead of relying on decorative elements, the design uses geometry, axes and visual connections to extend perception. Carefully aligned perspectives, symmetry and depth create a continuous dialogue between spaces, while panoramic glazing dissolves the boundary between inside and outside.
A defining innovation is the introduction of a “third environment” between the living space and the garden — a lounge and spa zone that acts as both a physical and emotional transition. This redefines how the house interacts with nature, allowing it to “breathe” with its surroundings.
The staircase embodies both technical and conceptual innovation. Developed through a bespoke construction method, its stone elements are mounted onto a hidden metal structure, achieving a precise, lightweight and sculptural form. It functions simultaneously as circulation, structure and art object.
By minimizing materials and visual noise, the project allows light, proportion and spatial rhythm to become the primary expressive tools, offering a refined and contemporary interpretation of minimalism.
The project creates a living environment that positively influences the emotional and physical well-being of its inhabitants. Through clarity of space, natural materials and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape, it fosters a sense of calm, balance and mindfulness.
