This Temporary Child Day Care Center houses 45 children during the time
it takes to build the final Child Day Care Center in the same building
block in the center of Brussels. There was a very limited budget and it
needed to be build very quickly. In total it consists of 400 m2 of
reconversed office spaces into play & sleeping areas for 45
children. In order to have enough play area for the children , a little
extension needed to be build on the playground of the adjacent school.
The temporary extension consists of a wooden frame covered with plywood
on the inside and black cgi on the outside. The windows are leftovers
from another project and serve now in this temporary construction to
allow the light to come for the playing children.
