This mixed use project, designed for a leading nationwide residential developer was submitted to the City of Oakland in response to an RFP for a prominent site in the City’s burgeoning Uptown district. The City required the applicants’ proposals include a hotel, and TCA responded with a 135 room boutique-style business hotel extending the full length of the property on Telegraph Avenue. Gracious ground floor public programing extends the length of the street-front and wraps both side streets affording food and beverage service, lounge and check-in functions visible to passers-by through generous floor-to-ceiling glazing. Additional functions include meeting space, fitness center, and a rooftop bar. 137 units of rental housing wrapping a podium with parking to complete the composition on the full acre site.
