Space designed by Roy Banse Design. Our company is made up of 30 creative people who design digital experiences. Our staff are like family and it's a good thing because 90% and our work requires people to be in close proximity. Collaborative work space and casual review areas needed to be inviting and plentiful. Desk space and seating arrangements needed to be barrier free. Privacy, for things like client reviews and presentations was a must but we didn't want to have those spaces isolated on their own. When clients are meeting us here we wanted them to feel like they were right in the middle of the work environment.Solutions for these constraints and requirements were met by the inclusion of floor to ceiling whiteboard installations. Seating around these areas was purposefully omitted to promote interaction during sketching exercises. When less interactive collaboration is needed, spaces like the warmly lit U couch, or module sectionals are great. Even though we're a digital company we often review printed material, and the review bench is a great place for our small teams of 4 or 5 to convene and discuss work in progress. The main boardroom and its three glass walls bring clients into the space and give them a good sense of our environment, team and working style. Motorized blinds, automated lights and AV are all controlled by the iPods, iPads and iPhones that our staff own.
