CONCEPT & INTENT
Inspired by Attune’s ethos of attunement to story and place, the Tea Bar prototype explores how minimalism and material honesty can elevate everyday rituals into meaningful spatial experiences. By creating a serene backdrop for gatherings, the design seeks to slow pace and foster connection.
DESIGN STRATEGY
Clean materiality: Crisp white surfaces contrast with warm, natural wood accents—balancing calmness with tactile richness. The palette intentionally channels simplicity while retaining organic depth
Thoughtful spatial choreography: The layout differentiates between barista service, self‑serve stations, and informal seating, creating moments of pause and interaction.
Scaled intimacy: Human-scaled dimensions and simple bistro-style seating sharpen the sense of hospitality—informal yet considered.
Light as ambiance: The design leverages natural and subtle artificial lighting to craft a soft, reflective atmosphere conducive to tea ritual.
WHAT’S NEXT
As a prototype, the Tea Bar prototype functions both as a standalone concept and a flexible model adaptable to various sites. Future steps may include refining material selections or piloting in real-world café scenarios.
