The building is set in two of the three parcels given to the development of the Informatics Centre: those oriented towards the Route 226 and the City of Tandil. The remaining parcel is reserved for future developments and the outdoors activities the programme offers.
The main idea sets a lineal development of the building, with a strong hierarchy given to the entrance, fulfilling the request of free accessibility for people with reduced motor and communicational abilities. This entrance constitutes an outside partially covered area, to which one can enter through a public space envisioned as a community square. This public space called “Plaza del Polo Informático” is thought not only as an institutuional frame to the building, but also as a space where CEPIT can reach the community.
