introduction
Dubai city, built as a flower in the desert, challenging the conditions of his own environment grows toward one direction: the highest place in heaven. from it's feet is poured life, it built and maintained the oasis, who turns the dessert into paradise.
The tissue has been a key part in the art of the arabian inhabitants, the flesh of the Palm is woven clothing and ropes, their leaves were woven ceilings and instruments and their bark is woven furniture and containers. In parallel social bonds has fabricated what today we know: the grat people of Dubai.
The Project
There are seven doors into the place, each one identified with an elementary knowledge according the compose of paradise, earth, spirit, beauty, science, mind and faith. The center si the seventh door, the principal, from we can turn our eyes to the top.
Each door leads us through a tunnel of unique knowledge and culture which flows into the center of complex
The main building is composed by a steel structure, that in it's rise, transform into a tissue through which it is possible to reach the top, the seventh heaven.
This structure is protected in the front by an organic skin that remarks tha path to the sky.
At the intersection of the trails located in the center of a lake, begin the vertical trip that finishes in the flower cocoon, a viewing platform from which we can enjoy the panorama
On the ground floor, protecting the main body and emerging from the ground are located the children's library an the conference hall, wich have communication with the lake trough big windows, allowwing the grat tower view penetrate trough space.
The café is located at the top of the tower with the viewing platform, where the visitor can enjoy of talking and admire the city of Dubai.
Located at the northeast is the podium for all kind of cultural events, having the great scenary of The Flower of the Dessert.
The parking lot is located below the library and the conference hall. This to maintain the same available territory and because of the proximity of the working places.
