Two-building complex in a scenic environment.
Currently House One is a dwelling house.
The function of the House Two is – a space for work/meditation and creative development.
The function of the buildings was changed multiple times during the construction, going from public to private use, thus, with these changes, the buildings have been able to change their function as needed.
The building is designed as a traditional Latgalian farmstead in the language of modernism forms of the city.
Compact landscaped garden/park that respects the ancient ethnic Latvian and Eastern traditions of creating the environment, with special respect being given to ancient glacial stones found in Latvia being placed in the garden and by accentuating the presence of nature.
The yard includes the manifestations of the five elements which are easily recognizable in simple and understandable symbols – fire, water, earth, air and ether.
The center of the yard is empty – like a piece of white paper, it is waiting for the moment of creation before it is filled with thoughts, deeds and joy of accomplishment.
