Takceram showroom has an area of 170 m². It is located on the fourth floor of a five-story building in Zafar St., Tehran. The main design concept was to create a concentrated and integrated space to facilitate the display of the goods and the employers considered activities. In other words, the plan arrangement was based on converting two distinct narrow linear spaces to a central one situated in the middle and placing the other spaces at the sides.
The column located in the middle of the space was influential in creating the central part as a multi-functional space. Each wall adjoining the column has its own specific function. Considering the height of the ceiling and the industrial character of the project, metal punch sheets were used for the ceiling. The ceiling is also regarded as the main element for unifying the space beside the floor.
The main ideas of the design team include:
• Shortening the interior walls.
• To create an integrated ceiling and turning the ceiling height limitation to the opportunity to create an exposed ceiling with observable connections, lightings, and texture.
• To design the floor using the textiles produced by the Takceram company. The floor’s texture is in contrast with the integrated texture of the ceiling while having a particular color theme.
• Turning the central column to a division point and creating the functional walls around it.
• Creating a prototype for the other official showrooms of Takceram company with no external façade.
