When we saw the black and white photos of his early years and compared them with the current situation we felt that it had lost itself as well as in the built environment elegant and stately character, while maintaining the architectural invariant that allowed putting in value in many different ways.
The way we decided to put it in value enhancing its original architectural settings, is based on the movie character, dreams, glazes, fades and transparencies, and ultimately its magical and surprising character.
So we decided that Pushkisky Cinema should maintain the state of the vanguardism and glamour of his early days.
Should be stripped of excess of ornament and be it in itself a cinematic icon.We propose three guidelines coming together in this common goal:
1 -Transparent and semi-transparent boxes protecting the building and giving to it a unity. 2-meshes of leds that reflects the world of films and multimedia issues. 3-Building volume and urban development unity in its immediate environment, as a virtual outdoor carpet that leads us to it, and simplify and unify the environment.
The aim of sentry boxes glass should be seen like an elegant package that respects and essentially restores the original volume.
Among the double skin of glass, Led screen, which opens to the outside as a tent access at the top level, we entered into the world of cinematic dreams.
On the lower level of the existing building, we´ve recovered its original transparency, the access to the lower level is again possible, and a flooring extends like a carpet and meets the park by their lower level forming a continuum.
The resounding and unified volume will appear above and below the catwalk, as a light box, magic illusions station as the cinema, when leds are activated, either by night or day.
