Swing house architecture and interior design by Dagmara Obluska
The final shape of the Swing house is the results of over the years perfected characteristic style architect Dagmara Obluska, owner of Architekci Vilanette based near Warsaw, Poland .
Well-defined ridge height and angle of the roof determined the choice of the house with attic. To avoid confined spaces with onerous slants, which often become a nightmare roof, the roof is designed with numerous extended dormer windows and niches.
- This kind of roof allows for a large use without a significant increase in volume - explains architect .
Such a solution is suitable for functional reasons, but also has aesthetic values. Indeed, such a roof is an interesting alternative to the traditional.
This fluidity of forms also sneaks into the back and an iron hand in even the smallest detail. The boundary between what is useful and what decorative disappears. . The threshold greets us waving railing, handrail which unexpectedly turns into the handle of the original lamp. After passing through a spacious entrance, hall open up to an impressive view of space on two floors. I have immediately looked to design highly decorative staircase, like a sculpture than is a more well-known to everyone as a functional element of the interior. They bring to mind the buildings designed by Antonio Gaudi …
- I have been inspired by the organic architecture and Art Nouveau - admits the designer. - But I'm trying to process these patterns through the lens of my own sensibility and style. I do not want to design a cool interior. House, even with large open spaces, it has the impression of cosines. Thus, the living, happy form. Investors have shown a sense of humor and are able to look at some of the issues with a wink. The ground floor has been designed primarily as an open-seating area. There were no restrictions - high room, large glass - comprised primarily of comfort and well-being of the owners.
In addition to the original house is hard to pass by. Dynamic body covered with a distinctive roof, large glass with unusual shapes - the exterior of the building has already announced what is waiting for us in spectacular surroundings. Every step we face here in denial stereotypical thinking about home. It turns out that a little courage on the part of investors and ingenuity architect can result in not only visually interesting, but also practical and really comfortable architecture.
The boundary between what serves purpose as functional and what is decoration, is almost unnoticeable. Sculptural staircase, glass fancy, flashy lights, all has been carefully planned, in addition to aesthetics, consisted primarily of comfort and well-being of residents.
Glazed bay window to the two-storey facade is impressive garden decoration and a good way to illuminate the living room and mezzanine. Unusual windows were custom-made.
The interior of large living room is bright and spacious. This effect is enhanced by the natural colors and shiny materials including mirrors, marble, granite, which reflect both the light from the large windows and artificial lighting point spread in many places. One of the most interesting features is the window in the living room - glazed bay window with height reaching to second floor illuminating not only the ground but also a mezzanine.
The living area is organized around a spacious living room with a mezzanine. Attractive balustrade is a smart combination of plasterboard reinforced with steel frame. The column design, which supports the stairs, is another interesting highlight. Decoration placed on the shelves, repeats the theme of stair railings. Fireplace has been allocated nearby by the designer.
