Sutton Tower, the tallest residential building on Manhattan's East Side waterfront, stands 850 feet tall and is the first skyscraper in the world by renowned Danish designer Thomas Juul-Hansen. Located at the nexus of the Upper East Side, Midtown and Sutton Place, this architectural marvel blends modern design with classical craftsmanship, reflecting Juul-Hansen's commitment to enduring quality and timeless beauty.
The tower’s limestone façade, stretching from base to crown, showcases exceptional craftsmanship. Its exterior is divided into two sections: the lower portion mirrors the charm of the historic surrounding neighborhood, while the upper portion uses expansive glass to emphasize the impressive scale and light. A champagne-colored crown with geometric facets adds a dynamic element to the skyline.
Sutton Tower offers 120 one- to five-bedroom residences with no more than three homes per floor. Each home features corner exposures, up to 15-foot ceilings, oversized windows and panoramic views. Interior highlights include ebonized oak doors, Statuarietto marble kitchen islands and custom Italian cabinetry. Bathrooms boast Laufen soaking tubs, waterworks fixtures, bookmatched Calacatta Gold slab floors and backsplashes, sinks carved from a single block of Bianco Dolomite, and heated marble floors. Powder rooms feature a sink carved from a block of Fior di Bosco with matching slab clad walls and adorned with alabaster lights made in France.
Residents also enjoy access to the Sutton Club, a 22,000-square-foot, five-floor amenity collection designed by Juul-Hansen. Amenities include a skylit lounge with outdoor terrace, screening room, multi-sport simulator, dining room, library, game room, children's playroom, pool, spa and gym with boxing and movement studios, and a courtyard and reflecting pool sculpted from limestone and marble.
Sutton Tower is developed by JVP Development and Gamma Real Estate.
