Apartment in a high-rise building in an elite area of Minsk
The owner approached designers Anna and Stanislav Makeev with a request to create a non-trivial space in his new city apartment. The owner bought this apartment in an elite area of the city for the beautiful view from the windows.
The requirements put forward to the designers boiled down to the fact that the space was decorative, functional and not overloaded with furniture.
For practical reasons, it was decided to tile the walls. We wanted to avoid trivial marble-granite textures. The choice fell on tiles with a more residential and tactile texture. It was its pattern that became the basis of the original concept of the entire project. The color accents of the rooms look great against its background and turn the apartment into an art space filled with objects of contemporary art. These include rich red furniture, designer tiles on the kitchen worktop, and a lamp on the living room ceiling.
The complex geometry of the lines is repeated throughout the space.
The theory of "point - line - plane" is the axis on which all the details are strung.
The entire composition is built on this system.
Even the bio-fireplace with its volume seems to grow out of the wall. It was deliberately not highlighted with other decorative material so that the fire would be the main character.
The decorative panel by A. Domanov in the dining area emphasizes the general idea of the interior.
The idea was complemented by a table designed by Piergiorgio Cazzaniga and Michele Cazzaniga
The clear geometry was softened with smooth lines - a golden oval on the ceiling and hand-painted kitchen tiles added coziness and materiality. The fabric on the curtains with large watercolor strokes added exclusivity.
The monotony of the long wall in the hall was discharged with the help of a volume painted in a dark color, turning into a perpendicular oval wall.
In the sleeping areas, distressed colored parquet and woven textured wallpaper add a casual chic feel.
