Supportive Housing Prototype
The objective was to provide supportive housing and services for inner city communities. Expected residents include those who may have just lost their job, are living on limited income and/or are seeking to make a change for the better in their life. This type of housing would work best in a mixed-use environment that includes supportive services like a continuing education center, and possibly a small childcare facility that caters to the working, single-parent community. The ideal site for this prototype is an infill lot in an urban environment. Located in an eclectic neighborhood, the site would become a transitional space that creates a mixed, socioeconomic melting pot for all to use.
