Super Duper Studio was conceived as a creative environment where learning, art and performance coexist within a single interior. The brief required a space that could support exploration and expression while maintaining visual coherence and durability.
The design is structured around the idea of architecture as storytelling. Arches and curves organize movement through the space, creating continuity between zones. Color is used as a spatial element rather than decoration, introducing energy while remaining controlled and cohesive. A recurring arch motif connects the different program areas into a clear sequence.
A curved stage framed by emerald curtains anchors the central zone. Surrounding areas include art display walls and the Nail Bar, offering tactile engagement and varied use. Red mesh partitions define boundaries without obstructing visibility, preserving openness within the plan.
Material selection balances vibrancy with resilience. Powder coated metal, terrazzo, natural oak, high gloss lacquer and polished epoxy flooring were selected for durability and sensory quality. Matte and gloss finishes interact with natural light to enhance depth and spatial clarity.
Custom joinery and curved structural elements were developed in collaboration with specialized fabricators to meet safety and performance requirements. The project demonstrates how a children’s environment can balance playfulness with architectural control through disciplined form, color and material selection.
