An existing retail box in the commercial area of the suburb of Las
Aguilas in south Mexico City needed to be transformed into a new and
eye-catching location for Superama in an avenue with very heavy traffic.
ROW proposed an illuminated façade that would act as a light box using
orange and blue light tubes (the colors of the brand) to catch the sight of the
by passers. This would be contained in a project volume that would span from a
single support in the center in the area that contained the stairway to the
basement flying above the access ramps on one side and the main entrance and
shopping carts on the other. The lower face of the flying volume will be
painted in a bright blue and the limits of the terrain will be enclosed with a
green wall.
