Our design for the Doty Hall landscape at the State University of New York at Geneseo satisfies several interrelated goals. In addition to serving as a framing landscape for the newly renovated building, it also includes a new green that forms an extension of the existing campus. The building houses the admissions offices and is located at the edge of the campus so the landscape also serves as a campus gateway. The arcing lawn directs visitors to the building entrance and a system of brick site walls frame landscape elements and extend the building materials out into the site.
