Summer Compton Wells and Hamburg's new two story building in Clayton
demanded a distinctive high profile image. Using the original office
doors, from their first location, as the new conference room entry, was
the inspiration for extensive custom profile moldings throughout the
space. All the mahogany and painted trim, pilasters, paneling and custom
built office doors share the same undulating curve. The woodwork and
office doors were all milled and fabricated in a shop near Herman MO.
Indirect uplit cove ceilings give an open sense to the public and
clerical areas surrounded by fabric covered walls of the offices for the
lawyers. Project included high density filing system in records
library.
