In collaboration with the facilities and nursing staff, Domokur Architects designed a space that meets the aesthetic and functional demands of current Oncology patient care including interior design services that provide for a warm palette, rich in color with references to nature.Domokur Architects provided services from programming through construction administration. The renovation included patient rooms, ADA/bariatric compliant shower and toilet rooms, nurse's station and other support spaces. The design worked within the footprint of the existing space and therefore required each patient and toilet room to be room specific and non-typical. Each room is designed with staff, patient and family areas to maximize comfort and efficiency. The mechanical systems were completely redesigned to provide new individual units for patient control and comfort. The redesign/upgrade of all finishes created a calming environment.
