The first Suitcase Pavilion was installed at the London Festival of Architecture in 2008, when a group of students and designers took 4,000+ polypropylene and acrylic pieces to London to install a temporary pavilion in front of the Victoria & Albert Museum. Upon arrival in London, the individual pieces were assembled into components called Pillow Clouds. During disassembly, the Pillow Clouds were given to the children of London as design mementos.
