A private residential house of total area 1500
square meters is built on the plot with a pinery. The house consists
of two blocks-residential space and a basin with a sauna and gym
combined with each other at a wide angle. Buildings have a common
terrace projected in a form of semicircular podium opened to the
pinery.
While decoration of the cottage only natural
materials were used, in particular, wood and stone, natural charm of
which is highlighted through large-scale glazing. As to the
construction of a roof, design authors have given priority to
traditional duo-pitch roof, however it has large overhang and rest
on elegant thin columns,-it also contributes the house a visual
lightness and emphasizes modernity of architectural solutions.
Wood and stone intensely utilized in facades play a key role in the
interior decoration as well. In particular, walls of two-light
living room and stairs are decorated with the same natural stone,
and wood lath is used for ceilings and floors of the most
residential premises.
Planning of the floor is a crossing of two main axes: one corridor
connects an entrance door and hallway area with a living room, and
another one perpendicular to it is two stairs leading to the second
floor. Shared block with a hallway, cloak-room, home theater and
living room in its turn divides residential space into two wings. On
the first floor quest rooms and kitchen-dining room are allocated on
its different sides along with the adjacent to it billiard room and
winter garden, from which there is an access to basin, and on the
second floor there are bedrooms for children and adults. A gym
having an exit to the open terrace is located above the basin. Using
as interior design leitmotif laths made of natural hazel-wood,
Anastasia Leonidova supplements it with the very different materials
with the achievement of unexpected and supplements it with the very
different materials with the achievement of unexpected and
spectacular combinations. In the billiard room she utilizes small
bricks and cubes with brass cover, in the two-light living room
there is natural leather for decoration of central pier.
It is worth separate saying about the stairs made of hazel-wood
mass. As it was said there are two of them in the house: one is
traditional two-flight,the second one is twisted in a spiral and
connects all the floors. And if the first one has solid but glass
enclosure, the second one is protected with wildly twisted steel
handrails, which high-tech design ideally corresponds to dynamic
form of the stairs itself.
