Wanting to incorporate nature in this new and bright Suburban Hospital, a calming image of a riverbed was chosen to inspire this system of recognition. After many studies of rocky riverbed photos and videos, PDG set out with Photographer, Zack Henningsgaard, to capture the perfect set of photos. PDG spent two days in different rivers capturing long runs of river rocks that were eventually stitched together in post production.
The final product was a 40 ft long photo, printed on the back of 12 fused art glass pieces. The fused art glass provides texture and movement that flows right into a digital panel at the end. The digital panel carries info on events, donor stories, and can be updated at anytime.
The sparkling river rocks theme is carried across the plaques as well. A nod to the donor wall makes them immediately recognizable as donor recognition.
