The subject of the video is the building itself. Architects often use smart photography to illustrate the buildings they have conceived, but video is a support that is still to often forgotten. With our video we propose to present architecture by using movement and sound to underline the building's specific environment or its specific use, offering an alternative to photographies.
The video is a result of discussions with the architects in order to understand the underlaying concept of the building and to propose images that reflect the architectect's vision.
Multiple visits on site has helped us understand its relationschip with the city, and its direct atmosphere. The use of ambient sound recording was important to be able to transmit these aspects to the spectator.
The use of cinematographic equipment like a "crane" and "travelling devices" made it possible to show the building from a different viewpoint and adds a sensibility to the video, using the created movement.
