This building is comprised of compact volumes in which levels slide over each other to develop exterior spaces on each story.
The aim of this project is the stacking of functions, while giving each of floor different grades of use.
Access to the building is through a recessed entrance from Menil street, sheltered under the cantilever of the floor. A large, bright lobby allows users to move easily. On entering, the area opens onto the common courtyard and wooded square through the game library. This area is distributed on two levels (with a set of double height) and can operate independently of the crib.
In the plan, the separation between service areas and sections is clear. The central position of the changing area allows a control input/output and all the spaces in the adjacent section.
Each floor contains generous terraces connecting to all rooms. The “great roof terrace” at the last level is a meeting place and play area for all of the different age groups.
