Portugal, a rocky oceanfront slope – the place where this project was born. The house is delicately integrated into the natural terrain, opening panoramic views of the Atlantic and preserving the harmony of the surrounding landscape. Silence, space, and a sense of unity with nature became the foundation of the concept.
The architecture follows the signature approach of SHOVK Studio – laconic, clean, and minimalist. The material palette is based on local stone, concrete, warm wood, and expansive glass surfaces that dissolve the boundary between interior and landscape.
The interior is built on a balance of natural textures and understated elegance. Grey marble, glossy white surfaces, soft tactile textiles, and abundant greenery create a calm, bright, yet warm atmosphere. Double-height spaces, light portals, and gentle ambient lighting add a sense of airiness and enhance overall comfort.
Functionally, the house includes four rooms, a spacious common area, a library, and an open terrace overlooking the mountains and the ocean. Every decision – from planning to materials – is crafted with respect for the site and its visual identity. This home is about tranquility, comfort, and a natural extension of our SHOVK vision.
