84 bright red cubes twist and torque into
the Customs House Atrium. Catching flight, and at times playfully descending
down to the visitors below. The continually changing direction and geometry
seduces and engages an audience into a state of dynamism as they try to follow
and capture the entire complexity of the work.
“Stitching the Void’s” effortless
nature exudes qualities such as lightness and fluidity, taking on non static
properties and propelling the notion of architecture’s ‘building block’ into
something driven by energy and vitality, capturing Enter Architecture’s
approach to design.
The installation comprises of only two
materials - bright red cloth and carbon fiber frames – allowing it to soar like
its inspiration, the kite, lifting with it our imaginations of the
possibilities architecture could have as it ascends the boundaries of building blocks,
reaching for the skylight, and the fluidity of the skies.
