For Stickbulb’s first-ever showroom, the designers chose to adapt an existing historic space - a former steel factory in Long Island City- into a multi-use showroom, design studio and production facility. Reflecting the brand’s design ethos, the original structure was preserved, but thoughtfully renovated to retain the building’s industrial details. Textured terracotta walls, wood ceiling beams and weathered floors were offset with Stickbulb’s sleek, modern LED fixtures and minimalist, contemporary furnishings. The result is an elegant space with time-worn elements including industrial stairs and a blackened factory door that lead into a light filled, gallery-like floor plan with large windows. The floor plan is divided into natural sections that are separated by long theatrical curtains and can be opened or closed to dictate the flow of the interior.
