The Thai industry is currently experiencing continuous growth, especially the automotive industry, which is developing at an accelerated rate. This growth has increased the demand for industrial factory development, including the expansion of administrative areas to support the factory’s progress. In this context, the new office building is designed to reflect the idea of nature flourishing alongside industrial growth.
This presents a design challenge: how to seamlessly integrate nature into the building, making it an integral part of the workspace. A common issue observed is that many focus solely on producing segmented parts, often overlooking the surrounding environment, which has become a key challenge to address in the design process.
The concept of SEGMENTAL ASSEMBLY, which uses nature to weave the separate segments into a cohesive whole, fostering NATURAL AWARENESS. A defining feature of the building is the creation of a large-scale “natural” space within it. At the same time, the design opens the building to connect internal and external natural areas, making them feel like one continuous environment. This ensures that every room can be part of the natural space, while balconies further enhance the experience of connecting with nature and encourage interaction between activities inside and the garden outside.
The new STEM office is not just a newly constructed building. It serves as a “new nature” within an industrial environment that is constantly expanding and impacting the surrounding ecosystem. The building restores vitality to its occupants as well as to the surrounding industrial landscape.
