The pavilion which can be used for exhibition, performance and social activities was designed and installed for local community revitalization of Mullae Art Village (This village is well-known for residential artist and skillful Metal workshops in Korea. ) in Seoul.
The project-key was sharing and co-working. With the key-concept, 'lineworks workshop' designed the pavilion and the contents of it were designed by the artists who work in this town. The contents have been change every month.
The stainless steel which can be shown the skills of the metal workshops in this town is used for structure of the pavilion. The metal structure of the pavilion is designed and fabricated based on wrench bolting system between metal hardware and pipe. So, the global size of the structure can be changed easily according to the site condition.
Moreover, origami pattern skin that is made with polypropylene cardboard is covered the metal structure. With the digital design method, not only the pattern of the origami is studied but also, the angle of cardboard pieces and joint positions are analysed.
