STARK residential complex
The STARK residential complex is located in the Coastal District of Vladivostok in the Vtoraya Rechka area. In the project, it becomes a key space around which new connections and life scenarios are built.
Once an abandoned stream, the Vtoraya Rechka returns to the status of a river thanks to environmental measures to clean it up and receives a landscaped eco-embankment along two banks. Along one of them there is a pedestrian promenade area of the STARK residential complex, which will later stretch into a pedestrian axis from the 100th Anniversary of Vladivostok Avenue to the shore of the Amur Bay. One- and two-story restaurants with viewing platforms and shops form an active, human-scale street front of the embankment. Here, priority pedestrian movement is organized with the possibility of driving cars to the entrance groups of houses and restaurants.
Vladivostok is a city of contrasts, where the West meets the East. Its two-facedness is also manifested in the composition of the STARCK residential complex.
It is being built based on the motives of a Japanese rock garden. Six towers-"stones" of the STARCK residential complex, multi-level and double, are located along the perimeter of the site. With light and dark facades, differently turned, like in a rock garden, they look different, but always dynamically, depending on the angle of observation. Thus, they provide the best views from the windows. The seventh tower opens from Russkaya Street, where it goes out with an expressive silhouette and marks the entrance to the residential complex.
Due to the fact that the residential floors of the STARK residential complex are raised by 6 meters of stylobate, below, on the first level, there is space for shops, cafes, all kinds of services and parking. And at the top of the stylobate, on its roof, a private courtyard-garden is designed, protected from noise, which colleagues from Concrete jungle conditionally divided into the "eastern" part with pavilions for rest and meditation, and the active "western" with playgrounds and sports grounds.
