The aim of the project is to create a Stadium that can host sports events for the inhabitants of the city of Lausanne and that can accommodate up to 8,000 to 12,000 people for International events such as Athletissima. Our proposal draws on and relies on the natural dynamics of the water which results in the singular geography of the site. By connecting and amplifying the existing hills, in a new scheme, the project proposes a coherent and identifiable field bearing landscape and ecological values. The stadium is loving itself in the structure of the park, making a place further north, to enlarge its gauge and to accommodate the temporary structures in a single area, on the west slope. It is housed at the heart of this system and the topography of the terraces naturally fits into the main lines of the deltaic landscape. The proposed landscape structure irrigates the entire site and effectively distributes pedestrian and cycle flows, especially from the North and the Youth Valley. The network of pedestrian promenades develops and clings to the main paths along the lake. The entire system of walkways is redesigned and disconnected from the motorways. The choice of a light roof structure meets the principles of minimalism and lightness. Modern diaphragm architectures considerably diverge from traditional practices. The deployment of the overall shape and the stabilization of the structure would take place in one and the same movement.
