In Bermuda, OBM International has designed a luxury beachfront hotel and condo property at the tip of St. George’s. The entire development is expected to open in 2020.
The St. Regis Bermuda, a $120-million investment project in St. Georges Parish, will overlook Gates Bay. When the property opens, it will have 97 guestrooms and 25 suites. The property will sit between the historic Fort of St. Catherine and Fort Albert. The project will include the renovation of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course and will complement St Georges’ UNESCO World Heritage Site designation.
The development will also have a casino, a restaurant, a bar, a golf clubhouse and other amenities. The spa will be built into Fort Albert, a 19th-century British defense site.
Developed by Hotelco, the first phase of the project will also include two residential buildings, containing 28 condominiums. Later phases will see the addition of three residential complexes.
