Completed as an integral part of a competition entry for a major Canadian park in late 2011 (client confidential). Several iterations of the pavilion were produced in response to the development of a varying programme, broadly consisting of public washrooms, changing areas for an adjacent ice-rink, and a large communal fireplace common-area. The fire-pit anchors a series of long views to the southeast and southwest where the welcoming winter fire would be visible from several hundred meters away.
