emersion DESIGN along with PEDCO provided A/E services for the 11,000 –sf gymnasium addition for St. Monica Recreation center. This new recreation center serves kids from the surrounding neighborhoods ranging from ages 6-18 years old.
The addition includes new locker rooms, concessions, and performance stage to provide multiple spaces for activities. The gym is attached to their indoor playground facility due to the fact that was constructed on a tight, urban site.
St. Monica’s serves the neighborhood of Lincoln Heights, about two miles from the Community of the Transfiguration Motherhouse in Glendale, Ohio. St. Monica’s provides safety, enjoyment, and supervision for neighborhood children after school and during the summer. This is a free center serving the needs of the underprivileged children in Lincoln Heights.
