This is a conceptual hospital design which relied heavily on the natural resources of St. Lucia. Wooden louvers help to shade patient units while allowing cool breezes to pass through the thin buildings, keeping their inhabitants comfortable. Louver systems on the roofs helped to create comfortable areas for visitors to seek meditative time to themselves, while helping to keep the building cool.By separating the program into several pavilions, inpatient and outpatient services are easily kept apart, assuring patient privacy. The hospital has patient rooms to serve up to 200 patients, as well as outpatient clinic and emergency department allocations.
