The renovation performed has given birth to a lush garden, full of scents and sounds. Through a hedge of bamboo, from the italian garden with its rigid and geometric shapes, you go to a romantic garden, with herbaceous plants and shrubs with abundant flowering, a pool with water lilies and papyrus and the sound of water in the background. It’s natural to stop on a bench and be surrounded by scents and sounds of nature, looking through the pergola topped by a wisteria. Some existing architectural elements were saved and adapted, as the two marble steps used as benches under the pergola, or the old altar used as table to accommodate refreshments. Pets of Reverend who in past years have lived in St. James still oversee the garden and on tombstones in their memory there is all affection of their masters.
