As part of its commitment to its staff, the St. David’s Foundation chose Sky Factory to design a 20-foot by 18-foot virtual skylight at the core of its Conference and Innovation Center using the company’s award-winning Revelation SkyCeiling.
The installation overlooks a large interior stairway that reinforces the illusion of an atrium framing the upward view from the lower floors. This architectural illusion of nature creates a magnificent view of open sky using a color temperature of light that closely mimics daylight.
The overall effect has the effect of relieving the enclosed feeling of the space and making the conference rooms much more inviting to visitors and guests alike. Staff working long hours indoors now have an architectural installation recognized for its ability to facilitate cognitive restoration in enclosed interiors.
