A refurbishment project of a corner unit terrace housing in suburb of Kuala Lumpur. In respect to the context and local housing codes, the refurbishment was limited to a certain existing shape and scale in proportion to the neighborhood and surrounding. The owner wanted a simple and functional dwelling versus the authentic. As a result, the concept is simplifying as much elements in the dwelling as possible with the play of natural light or illumination to achieve a very open space and clean streamlines. Low maintenance and security grille plays an important roles and was interpreted as the extra "skins" to the new envelope.
