DSA worked with SquareMouth on this adaptive reuse project for their new offices in St. Petersburg, FL. The project consists of a remodel and renovation of a former church originally built in 1950 where a portion of the building is being converted into an office space for a travel insurance agency. An important goal in the transformation of the building was to maintain their culture of a laid back, transparent, and collaborative environment. This was achieved through creating various types of work settings with a modern/clean and restorative theme. Their unconventional ways also opted for a major design element which included a bridge with two platforms connecting from the stage to the second-floor mezzanine in their large open space. The adjoining two-story atrium becomes the core for more of a private setting with various spaces such as a gym, a child care center, training rooms, and few offices.
