Sports Club LA’s Chestnut Hill location is considered a satellite from their larger downtown club. The smaller 30,000 sf Chestnut Hill location marries the high end luxurious feel with technology to create a one-of-a-kind user experience.
Clients enter the ground floor through a glowing wood box and ascend an ornamental stair. Upon reaching the lobby, members are greeted with a featured fireplace and seating area. The color palette uses dark woods and neutrals that are reminiscent to the local area, while including a punch of persimmon known to the brand of SCLA.
The REV Cycling Studio is like no other of its kind. With a large interactive video screen, users are engulfed in an experience of riding through the streets of Boston, or other prominent locations. Situated at the second floor corner of the club, the lights and video of the REV Studio create an active beacon for SCLA outside of its walls.
The locker rooms offer several ammenities to its client base and boasts high quality finishes. They feature a vanity core that acts as a privacy barrier between the dry and wet areas of the lockers. Ample sized showers have compartments for both showering and changing. The steam room includes a Himalayan-salt block wall which has inherent health benefits to its users.
Users and trainers have access to digital tablets and are encouraged to use their own devices to program and track workouts. For the members looking for functional training, SCLA has a special area for workouts, as well as a sprint track.
S3 Design designed this club with the “wow” factor in mind. By combining function, finishes and technology together, the user experience is one-of-a-kind.
