One of 20 expo products as seen at the annual AIA 2015 conference, which drew thousands of architects and design professionals to Atlanta in May, the Cascade Collaboration Video Wall has been ranked as a “Top Product Pick for Specifiers” by an independent committee of writers and publicists who cover architectural and building envelope product news year-round.
All exhibitors of the AIA 2015 expo were invited to participate in the top products consideration and selection process. Leading up to the event, product manufacturers with displays planned for the expo were invited via email to submit completed product forms with photos to be considered by the panel, which was led by Eberly & Collard Public Relations. The firm specializes in public and media relations in the architecture, construction and design industries, which involves the firm’s staff contributing and writing design case-studies and product profiles for numerous trade and mainstream media outlets each year.
The autonomous panelists who reviewed more than 350 products and selected the top 20 product picks conducted the research in neutral jury format, whereas existing clients of the firm were exempt. Those products included in the top 20, which are being revealed individually during fall and winter 2015, were chosen based upon three factors, including advanced technology, innovative design and aesthetic visual appearance.
The Prysm’s Cascade Collaboration Video Wall was particularly chosen for its ability to transform the workplace. Immersive and engaging, the walls and their displays enable a new generation of multi-purpose meeting rooms. Cascade Collaboration Video Walls offer pioneering technology tools needed to bring people together to collaborate more effectively. "Prysm is changing the way we work, forever,” says Dana Corey, vice president of global sales for Prysm. “Our Cascade collaboration solutions, powered by Synthesis, offer unprecedented capabilities that truly unleash the creativity and productivity of work groups.”
Communicative Interface
Through a combination of state-of-the-art software and hardware, these video walls and displays deliver a powerful, easy-to-use interface that enables users to interact with on-screen data. The large, integrated digital canvas allows users to capture, contribute and share content and ideas. Live streaming video, web apps, documents, presentations, images, and inputs from PCs and mobile devices can be displayed, resized, positioned, and annotated on screen.
On-screen controls let users make video conference calls, pan and zoom a camera, adjust volume, position and size dynamic keyboards, and play and pause videos. Configurable workspaces allow teams to save their work between sessions.
Multi-site mirroring enables users of up to ten video walls and displays to seamlessly collaborate in real time. Every user can adjust the size, position and settings of content. Annotations and notes are instantly shared across every mirrored Cascade system. Browser actions like scrolling, clicking links and interacting with multi-touch content are synchronized bringing web-based apps into the collaboration experience.
Cascade Video Walls streamline workflow, increase productivity and accelerate decision-making. These capabilities offer a breakthrough collaboration experience that raises team productivity and engagement to a whole new level.
“Easy-to-use visual collaboration environments are central to today’s workplaces and universities,” says Tom Spearman, Technical Innovation regional director. “The ability to quickly and effectively communicate information to people in and outside of the meeting space enhances participation and enables better decision making.
