SPARK Brand, the story-telling slash advertising agency, was looking to relocate their ever-expanding empire into a recently purchased, ex-auto parts warehouse in South Tampa.
The design strategy involved researching and understanding the creative process implemented by SPARK and then re-interpreting this as a design tool for their new headquarters. What was immediately discovered is that a vast majority of SPARK’s clients were established companies looking for something new - a new image, a new logo...a new story. Certain elements of the current branding formula for these companies may have been working, however SPARK looked to re-package these branding elements into something new and energetic.
Our design strategy for the vacated warehouse was born out of this idea of re-packaging. Reflecting the design process of the agency it houses, selective elements of the existing facility were kept and re-utilized while others were newly clad. This mixture of old and new allows the character of the building to remain while also imparting an idea of progress. This idea of old and new is further reinforced on the interior of the project through the materials, furnishings and color selections.
