This renovation project included combining two buildings on 127th St and Frederick Douglass Blvd. The block was mostly abandoned when construction started.
The interior of the buildings was gutted, and the buildings were eventually connected. The renovation was completed in 2000, with 20 market-rate residential rental units along with commercial space at the corner. The commercial space was initially occupied by a fine-dining establishment, Revival (interiors also designed by PM Architecture), one of the first of its kind in the area.
PM Architecture also helped the development team secure private financing, as banks were reluctant to finance development projects in Harlem at this time.
