Located in an unplanned expanded neighborhood of the city of Bhubaneswar at Jagamara, the interiors of this home for a family of five had to have a party area and be a haven away from the craziness of city, so as to make up for the dissatisfaction of the client with the outcome of the core structure. The challenge in designing this 5711 sqft house was not only to come up with some good design concepts but also to adopt a systematic approach to design a space, in accordance with the requirement and budget of the client. To address the above desire NASCENCE took up this project and with a thoughtful and meticulous design solving process came up with the solution for the project, which now doesn’t remind the family of the initial unwanted issues of the building, but with the tranquilizing ambiance and clear design approach, gives a distinct identity to their dream house.
DESIGN USP :
• The formal sitting area gets an alluring touch by the unique combination of paneling and spray painted Jali.
• Few design elements like the pseudo fireplace, Italian stone cladding in the formal sitting area, patterned Italian marble flooring and some abstract wooden panels, fulfill the client’s tilt towards European Interiors.
• Another interesting feature is the ceiling of the ground floor living dining area, which is the mirror image of the flooring pattern.
• The dressing unit composed of a combination of a hexagon themed jali with a mirror at its back, fulfills the lady’s affinity towards an innovatively created dressing unit space.
• The flooring pattern, the wall paneling and the ceiling design were harmonized together to render the first floor lobby a distinct design approach.
• A semi-void partition wall comprised of square and rectangular forms and a C-shaped wooden finish element act as the primary features of the second floor.
