DIA – Dittel Architekten is commissioned to design the interior of the three-storey office building with a floor area of 1,500 m². The listed building is completely gutted and a new interior constructed, whilst the facade was reconstructed according to requirements imposed by the planning authorities.
The interior was adapted to precisely match the company’s requirements, taking into account the existing corporate identity colours. The hundred new workspaces were built to the highest standards and underlaid with deep-pile carpet, with corridors given rubberised flooring. At opposite ends of the office areas are conference rooms and offices for line managers furnished with Alcantara. These feature sections of glass wall which are rounded at the corners of the rooms, helping them to appear as part of the main office areas.
The walls feature Alcantara-covered boards, which contribute to a warm working environment and provide effective soundproofing. The furniture was adapted to suit the wishes of the staff and has an understated white design. The offices’ technical infrastructure is suspended beneath the ceiling, in a colour identical to that of the ceiling for an understated appearances.
