Chasm, as Architect of Record in collaboration with Fusion Architecture, completed the design of a state-of-the-art theater, African American Art Museum and classroom building for Southern University at New Orleans. The $21.2 Million project is located at the SUNO Park Campus existing theater site. The three-story project includes a 1,000 seat theater, classrooms, laboratories, administrative areas, museum exhibit space, gallery space, archives, and exterior plazas. The intentional “negative spaces” created by the design carve niches for exterior events. This new destination at the SUNO Park Campus is a spectacular addition to the overall student experience.
