Faced with aging facilities and a growing enrollment, the South Beloit Community Unit School District 320 engaged Larson & Darby Group in the design of their new High School.
Larson & Darby provided complete architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design services for a new public high school. The project called for a student capacity of 450 with a core facility for 600.
The new high school includes a 600-seat performing arts center, four new science labs, and a 1,800-seat competition gymnasium. The existing high school was converted to South Beloit Middle School.
Larson & Darby also provided the pre-referendum services, consisting of working with the Board, Administration, School Staff, and Community via public planning sessions to reach a successful referendum (71% margin in favor) for the new high school.
