The South Baltimore Environmental Justice Center will be the home office of the South Baltimore Community Land Trust and their supportive services. The building will also serve as a community gathering space and home base in the neighborhood. The rear section of the building will be a two-bedroom residential unit for transitioning families to be safely housed. The existing building is a 2-story brick shell that will be renovated into a net-zero, resiliency hub using healthy and salvaged materials and low-tech sustainable building strategies. This project is currently in Phase 1 of construction.
